All those many enjoyable hours on the golf course with you instilled in me the same love of the game that you had. I loved your wit......like when you told me the body of water on the right isn't in play.......then after I proceeded to hit four tee shots into that body of water......you quipped......"You remind me of Tin Cup.....next time we play, we're going to play for money". And who can ever forget all the words of wisdom.......like when the video guy comes up to you and asks.......do you have anything you'd like to say to the bride? With that thoughtful twinkle in your eye........you said......."If you don't succeed the first time......try, try again". I'll miss you, big guy........and I'll miss our debates!
You will be missed Uncle John. So many memories that make me laugh and smile, but one I will never forget is the debate with Grandpa Danny about the merits of instant mashed potatoes versus real mashed potatoes. It always brings a smile to my face.
