Robert T. Mulig, 78 years of age, born in Gloversville, NY, most unfortunately died of a massive stroke March 28, 2019 in Sarasota FL. He was a parishioner at St. Thomas More Church, where his favorite priest, Father Don Henry was pastor for many years; Bob had many wonderful friends there.
He sadly leaves his wife Donna Mulig, daughter Kristina Pitaniello, Anthony (Trish) Pitaniello and 4 grandchildren, his wonderful Mulig nieces and nephews, and many special friends, all of whom were his world.
Bob, never one to leave the party early, was a gentle soul whose easy ways endeared him to many. He also loved sports, especially golf, which could greatly perplex him ... our UPCC friends and his golf buddies were very important. He was well loved and leaves a tremendous void.
Bob was an organ donor, giving two people a second chance at a better life. We believe especially the liver recipient may now feel drawn to IPA beers and craft breweries.
If you'd like to remember Bob in a special way, contributions may be made to our grandchildren's college fund and sent to me .. or simply raise a glass and toast to the special man, Bob Mulig
Celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

Dear Donna,
Am so sorry for Bobโ€™s loss. Such a great guy. Always so sweet and funny. My sympathies for you and apologies for not being aware of his death until now. My husbandโ€™s health issues began mid-March and I was not โ€œplugged inโ€. I know you have been dealing with your grief for awhile, but if there is anything I can do for you, please let me know.

Sincerely,
Linda Zuffa

So sorry to hear about Bob. We worked together @ the Attorney General's office, seems like a lifetime ago. He was a wonderful man. All who knew him will miss him.

There were many fun adventures with "PaBob" to zoos, beaches, parks, aquariums, and pools - not to mention the many competitive card and board games he initiated with the grand kids. We appreciate all those fun adventures and the way he showed loved for them and how well he cared for Mema (Donna) and did his best to love what she loves.

When I read this sad news, a happy thought popped into my head. I spent many a GHS basketball game cheering, from the grandstand, for Bob! I learned that even a 78 year old liver is eligible for donation. I will raise a Vermont IPA to him tonight.

Met Bob 50 years ago in his AAG days. Havenโ€™t stayed in touch & hadno idea we shared Sarasota residences. Said often he could have made millions as a model. Best looking guy I ever knew. One memory along that line โ€” walking down State Street in Albany women would direct flirtatious remarks out of moving cars.

What a sad time for Donna and all. Bob led an extraordinary life and will be greatly missed. We shared many curling adventures and often wondered why the Canadian authorities would let us back in the country. Bob was an excellent attorney and highly respected by his peers. May he rest in peace.
