My first memory of Marilyn was Thanksgiving 1996 in Omaha, NE, when I joined my then boyfriend, Todd, her son, for Thanksgiving with all of his extended Nebraska family. I will never forget how welcomed she and Carroll, along with her sister Aileen and Aileen's husband, John and all of the Johnston family (Todd's cousins and their wives and
children) made me feel. It was such a wonderful time, and my first
introduction into Todd's wonderful family and the great rivalry between our team, the Colorado Buffaloes and the Nebraska family's Nebraska Corn Huskers. Little did I know then that I would be so blessed to join this loving family by marrying my precious Todd, becoming a Pyle myself, and finally really understand what the cheer, "1st And 10, Let's Do It Again!" meant and what the HECK the guys with the chains
were doing on the sidelines! When that revelation came to me one day in the stands in Boulder years ago, my novice understanding of football delighted Marilyn so much she had to share it with everyone seated around us! That football and sports crazed gal could hold her own in the sports talk!

The 4 of us had so many great years making fun, wonderful memories
together!

Marilyn had such a zest for life and was always ready for adventure, fun and a party and always ready to try something new! She was very caring, always there to encourage and lend her ear and helping hand to anyone who needed her. She was a great mother~ in~law and friend. The memories of all the fun, laughter and love we all shared are etched in my heart forever.

I always loved going back home to Colorado to visit Carroll and her, and they always had something fun planned and made me feel so loved and a true member of their family. Some of my greatest memories in life have been with the 4 of us~ Todd and my small wedding in Estes Park, along with both sets of our parents, picnics in Estes Park, football games in Boulder and traveling each year to attend a fun away game in different cities, their fun annual New Year's Day party, amongst all of their fabulous friends, the annual Sculpture In The Park arts show, and their annual trip to visit us at Christmas in Georgia and then in Florida once we moved there..always tremendous fun and too many more great
memories to list.

Todd and I are forever grateful that Marilyn and Carroll came to Florida in 2018 to live near us, just 10 minutes away. We would have loved to have had more time on a daily basis with them so near, but we are so happy for this time we had and to have Carroll still with us. We will always feel the void of her physical presence in our little family of 6 (including her beloved grand dogs, Amber and Ginger), but her spirit will remain
alive with us forever.

I know you are in your heavenly home now, so happy and free~ already busy planning the big reunion Party~Of~All Parties for when we all come back together again. Until that day we will think of you enjoying this greatest of all adventures you are on now.

Marilyn was my dad's aunt, grandmother's sister. I remember her as such a lighthearted and bright person. She was nice and kind and had a lovely sense of humor. I have many great memories of Marilyn and her husband Carroll and son Todd getting together with the family in Nebraska for the Nebraska-Colorado football rivalry. Those memories start around first or second grade, tailgating at a raucous stadium in Boulder, and continue through my college and post college years. Marilyn and Carroll always made family gatherings more fun. I am sorry I didn't get to see her as much in her later years. Best wishes to Carroll and Todd, my grandma Aileen, and all the other missing her.

Marilyn was my husband's aunt. I loved Marilyn. She welcomed us in to her home so many times and came to stay with us (with Carroll in tow of course!) at our home in Nebraska over the years. Our times in Colorado were so memorable and great fun. Drinks, snacks and conversation were plentiful and we enjoyed everything about being there. She had so many stories about her students and people she cared about. I imagine she was an amazing mentor to hundreds of young people during her career as a teacher. She adored her family, always had a quick wit, love of life and was on the go, go, go. She is missed. Rest in peace, dear Marilyn.

When I was little she was "Aunt Mim." She was the cool aunt in Colorado and we loved to visit, and as we grew the visits were still great and the stories were hilarious. Hearing the two sisters talk and laugh is a precious memory.

As an adult, Susie and I stopped in Loveland many summers, and always stayed with Marilyn and Carroll a few days on our vacations It was always a highlight. So too were their visits with us in Omaha. We even learned how to carefully to talk about Buffs and Huskers!

She was my aunt but in many ways a role model for me. As an educator, her passion for working with kids who were not easy to work with left a big impression. And I will never, ever forget receiving a cancer diagnosis and talking with Marilyn about how you get through that.

Marilyn and Carroll will be dear to my heart forever. RIP Marilyn, and rest easy, CP!

I loved Marilyn! She was so kind to me and so much fun when I would visit with Carroll and her at Todd and Susan's home!
Happy hour was always a given with Daddyo constantly refreshing our drinks...Marilyn loved it!
We had such a great, competitive time with the football pool sheets on New Years Day! Marilyn really, really got into that...as did I! We would playfully harass each other all day about which of us was winning the most...Marilyn playfully asked who invited me if I would get ahead🤣
I feel like she and Carroll were my in-laws too!
She was a spunky thing! I was always amazed to hear about their bike rides through the hilly roads of Colorado! Impressive!
She loved playing golf. We were able to play along with them when we visited in Colorado. Tough golfer who gave me a run for my money!!😊
Tom, Katie, Michael and I were fortunate enough to be able to visit them in their home in Colorado! They showed us such a fun time! Boy, what a view from the deck of theirs! Awesome!!!
Their new Florida home is so beautiful with an equally beautiful view! She loved her new home also!

Marilyn was such a beautiful presence at our HP Telecom team reunion brunch table. Love to you, Carroll and Todd, especially at this time.

We are truly blessed to have had Marilyn (and Carroll) as neighbors for almost 18 years. We loved her very much and hold fond memories in our heart. Rest in the arms of the Lord dear friend.
