Mark Dominic Ross, 65, of Sarasota, FL, died peacefully on August 21, 2021.

Mark was born on July 21, 1956 in Peoria, IL to parents Donald and Margaret Ross. He went to Washington High School in Washington, IL. After high school he joined the Navy and served on the destroyer USS John Paul Jones, from 1974-1977.

Mark enjoyed baseball, especially watching the St. Louis Cardinals. His family was a top priority to him. He enjoyed fishing at the cabin his family had on the Illinois River in Putnam, IL. He taught his children Angela (Travis), Matthew (Rachel), Zachary, and Michelle (Brice) fishing and boating skills.

Along with his children, Mark is survived by his grandchildren, Dominik, Brody, Avery, Regan, Laci, Morgan, Makenzie and Rhyan. He is also survived by his siblings Stephen (Lisa), Christine (Christopher), Elizabeth (David), Theresa (Steven), and Kathleen (Frank) as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mark was proceeded in death by his father, Donald, his brother, Patrick and his daughter, Melissa.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday August 26 at 9:30 at Incarnation Catholic Church.
