Keith K. Johnson, 84, died peacefully at his home on February 24th, following a 21-month battle with cancer.

Keith is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Dorothy; his children Dean, Randy, and Tami (Ken Dominick) Johnson, all of Cumberland, WI; grandchildren Casey Pederson, Ashley Jarvinen-Pitts (Danniel), Cory Johnson, and Brandt Peterson (Bailey Fenendael), all of Wisconsin; great-granddaughter Natalie Olson; brother Stephen (Crystal) and sister Jeraldine Meyer; and many nieces and nephews. Keith was predeceased by his parents, Jerald and Ruth Johnson, brother Bruce, and brother-in-law Loren Meyer. Keith also leaves to mourn so many friends and family. He was loved by all.

Keith was born November 28, 1937, in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota. He graduated in engineering from North Dakota State University. Keith began his career with the Federal Aviation Administration, and then moved to Control Data. In his last years prior to retirement, Keith was involved in developing and supporting technical programs for a computer-based learning system. Following his retirement to Florida, Keith continued to use his expertise to provide computer consulting, using a business card that said, "Keith does Windows."

For twelve years, Keith and Dorothy were snowbirds spending time between their cottage at Pelican Rapids and their home at Bayshore Windmill Village. In between, they enjoyed many trips to Canada, England, and Europe. For the last twelve years they have been full-time Floridians. Keith was very active in Bayshore Windmill Village, volunteering for many activities and serving on the Homeowners Board; he also served as Chairman of the Council for Bayshore Covenant Church.

Keith loved his wife, his family, his friends, and football. Some of his best times and fondest memories were of duck hunting at the family camp in Minnesota with his father, sons, and grandsons. To many Minnesotans, the opening of duck hunting is almost on a par with their wedding day.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 26th at the Bayshore Church of the Nazarene, 2311 57th Ave West, Bradenton. Visit with the family from 10:00, service at 11:00. Interment will be in the Lakeside Cemetery in Cumberland, WI.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Tidewell Hospice, Bradenton or the Bayshore Church of the Nazarene.
