Elizabeth "Liz" Hayes, 87, previously of Naples, FL, passed away on August 13, 2023 at Amira Choice in Sarasota, FL surrounded by her loved ones.

Liz was a native of Branford, CT. After retiring from Yale University's Human Resources Department, she moved to Naples, FL. She was proud of her volunteer work as a Guardian Ad Litem and the Citizens Foster Care Review Panel for Collier County. She was a member of the Naples Heritage Ladies Golf Association and enjoyed playing golf with her husband and friends.

Liz was incredibly fun to be around enjoying great times with her special circle of friends at Naples Heritage, her home for 25 years. Liz enjoyed family visits, dinners out and happy hours at the club.

Liz is survived by her daughter Lisa Giddings (David); her sons Stephen Mailloux (Simone) and Marc Mailloux (Annie); her grandchildren Justin Giddings, Tanner Giddings, Dustin Mailloux, Alex Oliveira, and Amanda Rodriguez (great grandkids Noah, Leandro); and her niece Elizabeth Briggs. Liz was preceded in death by her beloved husband Fred; her twin sister Barbara Briggs; her mother Helen White; and her father Arthur Friend.

Special appreciation is given to the compassionate, caring staff of Tidewell Hospice of Sarasota.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Naples Humane Society in Liz's memory.

Graveside services in honor of Liz will be held in Branford, CT at a future date.
