Bonnie Johnson Holloway passed away peacefully on, October 9, 2023, joining her parents, Francis James and Helen Sumerall, her son, Harold Johnson and her grandchildren, Daniel Johnson and Rachel Johnson in their eternal resting place.

Bonnie was born in Sarasota, FL, on November 1, 1940 to Francis James and Helen Sumerall. She was a proud independent Florida Cracker who discovered a love of gardening through her grandma Sumerall.

Bonnie leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. She is survived by her loving son, Dale Johnson and her lovely granddaughters, Nicole Johnson and Sarah Johnson, great grandchildren, Jordan Brooks, Justin Gonci, Peyton Gonci, Jacob & James, dearest sibling Wayne James (Bev) and Sandra Bibler, treasured nieces and nephews, Tammy (Ted), Debbie, Rodney, Dwayne, Jesse, Lauire (Michael), David (Jessica), Waylon (Mandy), Alyene, Garland, Gene, Wayne, Horace, Carrie, Deborah, Bud, Nelson, Wendell, Jimmie, Melody, Mary, Colleen, Lena, Riley, Brian, Beth, Richard, Steve, Dana, Michael along with a multitude of special friends whose live were enriched by her presence.

Kind, understanding, and compassionate, Bonnie's radiant presence filled any room she entered. Her magnetic energy and infectious laughter were an embodiment of her vibrant spirit. Her humor and wit were a constant source of delight. Bonnie had a way of infusing joy into every interaction, leaving lasting smiles and heartwarming memories in her wake. She was immensely proud of her family and made sure they knew it every single day. Her greatest joy came from her beloved great grandchildren, and she was the best grandma in the world, their bond unbreakable and eternal.

Bonnie's unwavering faith in Christ was a cornerstone of her life. Her life was a testament to the love and grace of her Savior, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed her path. Bonnie's faith was a source of strength and inspiration not just for herself but for those around her, and her legacy of love and devotion to her relationship with God will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who were touched by her faith-filled journey.

A celebration and burial to honor Bonnie's memory will be held on Wednesday, November 1st, from 5:00-7:00pm for all family and friends at the Friendship Baptist Church, located at 5700 Palmer Blvd, Sarasota, Florida 34232.

Bonnie's family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of condolences, prayers, and well-wishes. Bonnie's love knew no boundaries, and she deeply appreciated all her family and friends. To everyone who was part of her life, she loved you dearly. May you keep her memory alive in your hearts and carry her legacy of kindness with you in all your days.
