Josef Weiszhar was 90 years old when the good Lord called him home. His early years were rough due to the wartime situations in his native Hungary, but his life was blest after coming to America. Josef served in the United States Army and became a U.S. citizen. Josef met Joe at a dinner party given by a mutual friend, from there the rest is history. They became Big Joe and Little Joe, and had 58 wonderful years together. Everything that they did, they did together. Among their favorite things was to travel the world, go to the opera, and attend Broadway shows. Life was celebrated by attending many birthdays, baptisms, weddings and anniversaries with family and friends. Now, after two long years, Josef is united with the love of his life. Josef is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. A receiving of friends will be held in The Ringling Room of Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232, on Monday, November 6, 2023 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Family and friends will meet Tuesday, November 7, 2023 for a 9:30am funeral mass at Incarnation Catholic Church, 2901 Bee Ridge Rd, Sarasota, FL 34239.
